•If you’d like to be promoted and haven’t discussed it with your leader, ask for the meeting.
•If you can’t articulate what you’re doing well and where you need to improve from your leader’s perspective, schedule a meeting.
•If you’re interested in learning about a new role, schedule a meeting (informational interview).
Meetings don’t have to be long; they need to be significant, impactful, productive and mutually beneficial. Some of my BEST meetings have been 15 min with an agenda sent to the recipient at least 48 hrs ahead of time.
