Yeay or nay to this coat that's on sale at Lord & taylor? I am worried it may look too much like a bathrobe? | Fairygodboss

Have they got it in tan or a dark green? I think it is a classic cut.

Probably depends on height. Short...maybe not...tall (er), or with heels, might be nice!

It's lovely. No animals were abused in a slaughterhouse to produce it. ?

I'm not excited about the big lapels. Is that something that will go out of style soon?

Agree that you should consider your body type first. If you're very tall and lean, with a smaller chest, it could look great. Most people are average versus tall and lean. So you're probably right to think "bathrobe." If you're well endowed, that collar will not flatter. Women in menopause tend to have a pouch around the middle, so that could become a consideration too. If I'm honest with myself, I'm a short and busty apple ... and I personally wouldn't spend any of my hard earned money for it. But to each his own!

I like it a lot- maybe a different color will give it less of a "bathrobe" look to you. Also, can't hurt to try it and see how it looks on you specifically. L&T is one of the companies that doesn't use the greatest photos for their merchandise (they are kind of "stock-ish")- so many items look better on than they do in the photos!

Looks chic! And like something that could match with black, gray and brown.
