What's your story? Entrepreneurs often face dark days. My father lost everything as an entrepreneur and went into a deep, dark depression and mental breakdown. It was very traumatizing to see as an impressionable teenager. He was gripped also by addiction (many addictions come from untreated mental health issues). My mother also has faced dark days as a single mom.
I too have faced very dark days where I felt like I would never get through the day because my depression was gripping me. I still have panic attacks even with the proper medications.
The one thing that keeps me going is connecting my pain to my purpose. I am have been able to heal some of my childhood wounds because of therapy, connecting to my values in my work and helping others through Women in Biz Network. This is my future legacy. It has also given me an opportunity to honour both of my parents because our shared experiences helped to make me who I am and helped me to realize the path I wanted to be on.

PS- thank you for your kind comments about my story. My purpose appeared through the pain I experienced. So I feel very lucky for that.
