Who or what band is your music therapist? What type of music soothes your soul? Michael Bolton got me through my divorce years ago and gave me hope for the future. Kelly Clarkson, What Doesn’t Kill You, got me through my termination of my employment after 21 years of service.

For me there is nothing like 1970s disco music to shift my energy and get me into a happy place. I love to bust out a few hustle moves here and there too!
But I'll never forget when I was suddenly dumped by a boyfriend. My BFF brought over a cassette (yup -- dating myself) of Mariah Carey's song Someday. I still know every word!

There is something about Stevie Nicks/Fleetwood Mac that can chase away my blues.

Snoh Aalegra to ground me & calm me. I listen to the Snoh Aalegra station on Pandora & it does wonders for me; other great artists on that station.

Growing up, I learn to clean the house to music and resumed that therapy since Covid-19 stay at home orders in place. Additionally, I like the Sirius Watercolor Jazz station and I discovered Patti Austin after watching a 2019 Award Show. If we open ourselves to listening to what makes you feel good, you can discover many genres that will keep your soul soothed for years.
