My sunflowers are here! I plant them every year. I’ve been watching them grow, patiently. Today, they are here. It's always a reminder to be patient. What are you patiently waiting for? And how do you practice patience? | Fairygodboss

I have learned and practice every day the patience not to speak but to listen fully before reacting. To ask more questions despite my gut instinct to solve a problem that may seem so tempting to fix for someone else. To stay more present in the moment and just be in that space with others for one beat longer. Sometimes I am successful; other times, I am a work in progress.

Thank you for sharing this Michelle! These are excellent points, I know it can be hard but by being patient here is really allowing others to step into their possibility.

Patience is the key to peace! For me personally, I am forced to be patient to find - not just a job, but the RIGHT job. With the time of uncertainty - it's been challenging. The key to patience and - honestly, peace - is planning. Each of my work days are scheduled to include exercise, job searching, learning, and crafting (right now it is sewing masks) Keeping the mind busy, and accomplishing something - supports patience overall.

Andrea, I'm rooting for you in finding the RIGHT job! What does the right job look like for you? I am a fellow planner, so I agree with you -- planning really helps one have patience and peace for sure. Best of luck with your search.

The right job is with an organization that believes that the employees are an asset. You treat your employees well, your customers will reap the benefits. It’s not the title for me anymore, it’s having the right leadership and culture - that motivates and lights a fire within in you - to inspire and lead. Probably more of an answer you were looking for, but I’m tired of pushing boulders up hills covered in ice - wearing skates.

Oh Andrea, what an analogy -- pushing boulders uphill while wearing ice skates! I have been there and it is NOT fun and a complete waste of your energy, talent and resources. I love the clarity you have on what your values are. This is so important. I am also feeling positive that companies are FINALLY understanding that culture needs to be top up mind to build an organization that is truly profitable. Good luck!
