Here’s what I need you to remember: (1) women should ask for more and ask more often (2) your ask is about self-advocacy and action (3) your ask is an asset Last month, I realized a company I’m familiar with has career coaches for their members. I sent an email through the support page of their website introduction myself; stating I wanted to learn more. The result: I’ve had multiple conversations - including ones with their Recruiter. In addition, I’d submitted my bio some time ago to an organization that also has career coaches. The result: an email stating they’d like to speak with me. Last but certainly not least: I GOT HIRED!!! Well kinda ? I’ve received notifications for remote career coaching opportunities for over a year. I spoke with a Recruiter regarding a recent opportunity, went to the next phase, received an offer for a contract - then the project date changed. #MyClientsGetHiredAndIDoToo The moral of these stories: I took action, I met some INCREDIBLE women in 3 different organizations and this month...I’m staying in action. Yep, me and my big ask taking over August! #NewMonthNewGoals | Fairygodboss
