      Overview

      Cargill is committed to providing an inclusive work environment and supporting its employees through critical life events that require time away from work—beyond just the birth of  a child.

      Cargill’s Paid Family Leave benefit will provide eligible employees* up to:

      • Six weeks to bond with a new child
      • Four weeks to care for a family member with a serious health condition
      • Four weeks for a qualifying military exigency or caregiver leave of absence.

      The total allocation of Paid Family Leave, regardless of the reason, can be taken every 12 months. 

      Every new addition to your family changes your life. Cargill offers reimbursement for qualified adoption related expenses up to a maximum of $10,000 and certain surrogacy related expenses. In addition, Cargill offers policies for time off for new parents. New fathers and mothers, if eligible, may take time off under the Paid Family Leave Policy and/or the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), or may request a personal leave of absence.

      If you’re a nursing mom who travels on business, Cargill provides Milk Stork. Milk Stork will ship any pumped breast milk home when you’re away on business.

      • Cooler, shipped directly to your hotel that includes storage bags and is pre-labeled, postage-paid and express shipped directly back to your home, or
      • Tote, for you to carry home on the airplane.

      • From what I can recall, it’s one week of vacation after you’ve worked 1-5 years, then you start getting two weeks. The first year you get no pto, but every year you get two floating holidays and a week of unpaid vacation available.
