Recognizing that flexible working means different things to different people, our approach is to empower our staff to manage their professional commitments to suit their own personal situation and equips our people managers to lead a flexible workforce. There are many examples of flexible working at Macquarie but the most common include flexible hours, a reduced work week, remote working, and job-sharing. We also understand the need for occasional flexibility that comes up on an adhoc basis.
Bringing a new child into your family is a celebration. Macquarie provides up to 16 weeks of paid leave during the period immediately following the birth, adoption or foster care placement of a child in the home for eligible care givers. We also offer a New Parents and Caregivers Guide which includes a checklist of action items, detailed instructions about how to apply for leave, and an overview of the benefits, programs, and services available to new parents. Our Families at Macquarie Group is a great place to find a community of support once you do transition back into the workforce with seminars and networking sessions organized regularly.
Your family is important to you, so they’re important to us too. We’re committed to providing the support our employees need to balance work life with home life. We partner with Bright Horizons to provide access to back-up child and elder care, as well as connections to resources for ongoing care and support (nannies, tutors, pet care) and a college coach program to support your family’s needs.
