through our Employee Business Resource Groups (EBRG), which include African American, Asian American, Inter-Generational, Latino, Military, Multicultural, Disability Awareness, LGBTQ, Emerging Professionals & Women Connect. Women Connect is the largest of PNC’s Employee Resource Groups, founded 10 years ago as a grass roots effort at PNC’s operations in Kansas City. Two years later, EBRGs became an enterprise-wide effort, and today there are chapters in 18 markets, as well as a Virtual Chapter to deliver programming and connect employees across the footprint. The mission of PNC Women Connect is to advance women’s leadership in business through programs which positively impact employees, clients and communities. Approximately 10,000 employees (men and women) participate in Women Connect activities each year.
Women’s Business Development is an enterprise wide focus on delivering superior products and services through an exceptional customer experience for female financial decision makers. The heart of this program are 2,000+ PNC-Certified Women’s Business Advocates (WBAs). Any employee can become a PNC-Certified WBA. Many women see this outreach to female clients as a differentiator and another sign that PNC is a great place for women to work.
as an organization we partner with external organizations to recruit diverse talent. This is done through national conference participation, regional networking and recruiting initiatives, as well as hosting in-house summits for both professionals and junior talent.
PNC has been part of the Military Spouse Employer Advisory Council and a partner with the US Chamber of Commerce Hiring Our Heroes (HoH) program for the past 3 years. This membership on the advisory council and participation has allowed us to be active in the pipelining of military spouse talent. PNC has hosted military spouse events at Wright Patterson and Patrick AFB in addition to attending other Military spouse events in our footprint and being an active member of the council. The spouse efforts impact over 90% of the council’s women population.
