- The 2 weeks of vacation are meant to be taken as vacation - a week or two off consecutively with plenty of advance notice. This increases to 3 weeks after 5 years of service and 4 weeks after 10 years. In addition to vacation, there are 5 discretionary days which are meant to be scheduled on shorter notice whenever needed. Some people plan these out in advance and essentially use them as vacation days. Sick days are “unlimited” but cultural norms dictate you don’t use them or you work from home when sick.

- The 6 wks 100% paid is based on Short Term Disability. The company actually do not have any paid maternity leave. However, they do let you accumulate your vacation days for that year (but on "accrual" schedule
