Ampersand is going through an exciting transition. Our new leader and first-ever woman President and CEO, is focused on evolving Ampersand into a modern and forward-thinking sales, data, and technology industry leader. Our goal is to engage employees on many levels to create a sense of passion for our company and for what they do by establishing a fun, inclusive community that provides opportunities for professional development and career advancement for women. To that end, we will launch Ampersand’s first Women’s Leadership Initiative (WLI) in late 2018. This is what women have to say about working here:
Andrea Montesano/Account Executive/New York, NY:
For me, working at Ampersand has given me a place where I am treated fairly, my work is appreciated, and I am given the flexibility to be successful, while still being present for my children. I have a 7-year-old daughter and a 1-year-old son and my motto has become “one day at a time”. Ampersand has been a place that recognizes my ability to get my job done well while I juggle my home life. I also love that I work in an environment where mothers are in upper management and extremely successful at their job. It makes me want to work harder so I can have the same opportunities.
Danielle Demming/eBusiness Affiliate Operations Coordinator/Bloomfield, NJ:
Women should know that working at Ampersand is working for a company that isn’t afraid to hire women. Here at the Bloomfield office, I work with an awesome team of women, who report to an awesome woman, who reports to another awesome woman. With that being said, when interviewing in 2015 for my current role, that was a very appealing factor in addition to learning that most of these women have been with this company for 10+ years. I believed that as a woman, there might be a better sense of understanding and that I could be nurtured to reach my maximum potential for years to come.
Miranda Schu/VP, eBusiness Affiliate Operations/New York, NY:
I’ve been fortunate enough to work with many amazing women and men here at Ampersand and I’ve had great mentors. I think women should know that we truly care about the people we work with and they are treated as the individuals they are. With that comes understanding, compassion, flexibility, comradery, and respect. I’ve always felt mutual respect with my colleagues as well as senior staff members. Women shouldn’t be afraid to speak up, we promote open communication at all levels. I’m surrounded by intelligent, strong, supportive women who make me want to be the best person that I can be – both at work and home. I’m inspired by their positive outlook and perspectives every day.
