At Squarespace we see a future where everyone can be an entrepreneur. Squarespace is a design-driven platform helping entrepreneurs build brands and businesses online. We empower millions of customers in more than 200 countries and territories with all the tools they need to create an online presence, build an audience, monetize, and scale their business. Our suite of products range from websites, domains, ecommerce, and marketing tools, as well as tools for scheduling with Acuity and creating and managing social media presence with Bio Sites and Unfold.
With a culture rooted in curiosity, we aim to provide our women employees with the support to turn possibility into reality and we accomplish this through various programing and resources.
We take care of our employees in more ways than one. Our comprehensive benefits offerings include medical, dental, and vision coverage for employees and their dependent children. We also offer up to 20 weeks of paid family leave (or local equivalent), fertility and adoption benefits, and behavioral health and wellness programs such as Headspace and more.
We view our people as professionals with interests, responsibilities and passions outside of work. And we believe employees need quality time to unplug and recharge for their own well-being and satisfaction. Through our flexible PTO policy, we encourage team members to take the time off they need to recharge and be their best. We also encourage the creator and entrepreneur in all of our employees by offering two free Squarespace sites and a complimentary subscription to Unfold to pursue their creative passions.
I’m the VP of Squarespace’s Channels and Services department, which is a talented team that focuses on developing and scaling new customer segments outside of our target customer. Our focus is to manage and engage our professional user community, Circle, scaling our Marketplace, and incubating new services and solutions. Prior to this, I built my career mainly in operations and business development, leading teams of scale.
The best part of my role is that I get to collaborate across the entire organization on new initiatives that will shape the future of the company. Being exposed to all departments, and the fascinating people that they’re made up of, allows me to learn something new every day and allows me to feel connected to the company as a whole.
When I joined Squarespace, I started in the customer operations department as an advisor, responding to customer inquiries in email and live chat. Within the first few weeks, I was eager for more challenges and found myself teaching colleagues how to handle complex issues. This role evolved into being an expert of the Squarespace product, and eventually led to being a liaison between engineering and customer operations during platform disruptions.
A fire ignited in me unlike anything before when witnessing the conversations between engineers. My thirst for knowledge grew exponentially, and I thrived when something broken needed to be fixed. I realized I had found my true passion in life and began taking online coding classes immediately. Taking online coding classes inspired me to take my learning a step further professionally. I teamed up with a few colleagues internally to pilot a mini coding bootcamp, where those interested in learning how to code could be mentored by other software engineers at the company. The experience was truly an unforgettable milestone in my career!
I joined Squarespace when the Technical Program Management (TPM) team was in its infancy (I was TPM #3!) and worked with teams in our Infrastructure Engineering organization before taking on a team lead role once our team started growing. Now, as a TPM Manager, my teams’ programs span across our Infrastructure, Product, and Security & Compliance Engineering organizations.
Instead of getting my energy from shipping software, these days the best part of my job is matching my team with the right opportunities and seeing them succeed and add value to the company. I’m grateful that so many of those opportunities have been in that sweet spot of filling an important business need and getting that team member closer to their career goals.
I’m the Group Product Manager for the Commerce team at Squarespace, and I’ve been in this role since July 2018. I specifically manage the development of new ecommerce tools, which help empower our customers to succeed on our all-in-one platform. I joined Squarespace in October 2015 as the Product Manager for the Commerce team, at a time when both our Commerce and product teams were a lot smaller. I feel grateful to have been a part of Squarespace as our company and teams have grown.
I care deeply for the people I work with, and this is definitely true for the people I manage. I am curious about what motivates them, and I’ve found that the best way to truly understand and empathize is to ask questions and listen. While I may not always agree, I always work to understand their perspectives. My manager takes this approach as well, and it makes me feel respected and gives me the ability to focus on my work rather than feeling like I haven’t been heard.
I don’t believe there is a clear separation between what happens inside vs. outside the office. Many times, what happens outside of work influences the energy we bring to the office, and vice versa — and that’s ok. Each person has a different comfort level with how much personal information they share at work, so I never expect people to divulge information they don’t want to, but I always try to give space to people when I know or notice someone is having an off day and let them know they can always take a moment to themselves.

Diversity & Inclusion at Squarespace
At Squarespace, we believe in the power of the individual to make great things and we exist to help people with creative ideas to stand out and succeed — a vision that starts from within. As a company, we are committed to building and developing diverse teams so that we can intimately understand, and create for, the multifaceted cultures and identities of our customers. Diversity refers to all of the ways we differ, with respect for differences in race, gender identity and expression, age, ethnicity, disabilities (seen and unseen), family or marital status, veteran status, sexual orientation, education, religion, and all the ways we may identify as a community. Inclusion is the state of being heard, recognized, and valued. It’s about creating a sense of belonging for every individual and a trust that “you deserve to be here.”
At Squarespace, our Diversity & Inclusion efforts focus on uplifting the experiences and perspectives of our underrepresented employees and doing the work that draws out the best in all of us. Our Employee Resource Groups (ERGs) are one way we ensure we do this.
ERGs were formalized at Squarespace in August of 2018, although our employees were building community long before we launched our ERG Program. As of today, we have 11 ERGs with chapters across our office locations. ERGs are crucial to fostering a diverse, inclusive, equitable and culturally connected workplace. By creating a
supportive community for their members, sharing their community with the company through events and programming, and by acting as strategic partners to maximize business impact, they are an increasingly important part of our culture and growth as a company.
