"Women and men seem to be valued equally and are compensated in a very logical and fair manner. My only concern is that if women are not confident enough to write about their achievements for their performance reviews, they may fall through the cracks (a girl's gotta lean in!). Accenture works to offset these issues by pairing you with mentors, career counselors, and other resources. They also just set a goal to have a company with 50% women by 2050, which is pretty great. "Flexibility is wildly dependent on the role and the managers you have. Overall most managers are very flexible, but certain client projects and deadlines can require you to travel 100% or spend long hours at work regardless of the desires of the Accenture managers and team. If you have a family this can be difficult, but the company does provide benefits to offset these issues, including paid maternity/paternity leave, breast milk shipping for travelers, childcare discounts, etc.
The hours can be negotiated to an extent; often Fridays are worked remotely since many people do travel for work (a common model is that consultants fly to, and stay at, the client site Mon-Thurs and work from a home office on Friday).
To give an example of a flexible schedule: I had a co-worker who was living in the west coast and working in the east coast. She negotiated to spend a week working remotely every other month to get a break from the long red-eye flights. I've also heard of some mothers working half days for half pay but not all clients will be okay with this. "
