"I've worked here for 6 years and it's not so much that woman are treated differently as much as anyone over the age of 30-35 is. AOL prides itself on being a company for working women and that may be in Dulles where they have onsite daycare and are able to leave at 530pm but that's not the case in the other offices at all."

"Get to know and build relationships with as many people across the company as possible, especially influential ones. I had 7 bosses in 4 years so you never knew who was going to be in charge or what their goals or style would be."

"negotiate work from home and take advantage of that when you are pregnant/returning to work. A lot of moms at the company who make it a point to leave work at 5."
