"Cisco offers a lot in terms of support, but more often than not, you have to go after what you want. There are mentorship programs, but the most successful folks are those who build their own networks, pursue specific mentors and sponsors, and personally invest in their own development. Employee Resource Organizations (ERO) such as Connected Women can help you find those resources."

"Cisco really walks the talk when it comes to diversity and inclusion - with 50% of the ELT now being women. It is a large organization, so there are pockets where this might not be the case, but my team has been very focused on promoting diversity and focused on attracting women and creating a workplace where they are set up to succeed."

"While the tech industry has a relatively low percentage of women as does Cisco, the company recognized the need for people from all points of view and all backgrounds. They have great policies, great compensation, and it's truly a family where we have each other's backs. Is it perfect? No, because we're humans and we're not perfect. But it's the closest thing I've seen. "
