Former female CEO, many women in high positions. But difficult work-life balance in this field.

The hours can be very long closer to deadlines. Overall, not too bad.

More flexible for senior people, not so much for analysts overall. People are generally respectful of personal time.

Two of the three founders of the company are women. This has set a good tone for women in leadership positions.

This work is in the legal field so there is a limit to the amount of flexibility that can be had. Total hours required does not change, but there is an ability to be flexible to meet family demands (even if you have to make up the hours at night or on weekends).

There are no barriers for women at Cornerstone. Women hold leadership positions at all levels. Cornerstone can have long hours and inconvenient deadlines due to the nature of the work. But I have had much more flexibility in setting my hours in the office and working from home than my husband who is also a professional. The culture here is to work to promote work-life balance and respect family obligations.

The culture of consulting is not always conducive to work-life balance, but Cornerstone is an extremely meritocratic company that recognizes employees for their contributions regardless of gender.

I worked here right after college, and I frankly wasn't very aware of or active regarding workplace women's issues. However, thinking back on the company, I realized that any address of women's issues was completely absent. There were no committees, no events geared towards encouraging mentorship, etc.
