"This company is diverse with an amazing female CEO. I started my tech career here and had a voice from the start. Promotions are there for women. The work-life balance is fantastic, making it easy to manage family life and work with very little stress. This was huge for me when changing careers and companies. Your career is in your hands and managers are there to really help you meet your goals. You can go as far as you want."

"Lots of flexibility with working. The company has conducted regular employee surveys and are listening. Remote and hybrid working are here to stay. Productivity is important, but how you go about being productive is up to you. I’m always able to make the school run and split my hours up when needed, as long as I don’t miss meetings and get my work done. Obviously this can vary by team based on manager. But the company also has a flexible working policy to enable you to formalise a flexible working pattern."

"The initial weeks reported is for shared parental leave. Pay and number of weeks differs and is offset my any maternity leave and/or paternity leave. This is for both birth and adoption.
Maternity leave is up to 52 weeks with 39 weeks of pay at statutory maternity pay (SMP). If you have been with the company for a year, then it’s full base pay for 22 weeks and then SMP.
Paternity leave is up to 2 weeks at the statutory rate. If you you’ve been with the company for a year or more, then it’s full pay.
Additionally, whilst your child is under 18, you can request parental leave to care for them at any time. However, this is unpaid leave. "

"Publishing is a very female-driven industry, but in the group I was in, I found that the leadership positions were mostly held by men, and that often hiring of external (male) candidates resulted in large inequities in pay bands within a job role. That being said, Elsevier have an excellent Women’s Network that do a lot to boost visibility within the organisation. "

"It's a great organization for women. They place great importance on wellness and wellbeing. There's a special female leadership program for aspiring women. It's also a family friendly organization with flexi working and a great culture. There's voucher program to help with childcare in the UK, not sure of other locations. The ability to work from home while you're provided all the necessary equipments does it for me and others."

"It's a dying business model on a downward trend. The new CEO was brought in to fix this but unless the entire board gets replaced, I don't see much hope. "
