"Definitely find someone in the department you are considering to find out about the experience there specifically. It's probably a good place if you are a fresh grad and appreciate a lot of oversight and lots of layers of management and involvement. If you are an experienced professional, you will find the amount of micromanagement and # of managers (direct and dotted line) to be frustrating, and this I hear about from not just my own department, it is pervasive. For example down to being told to change the subject line of an e-mail, or having a simple announcement rewritten and requiring approval by multiple people. "
