"Working at a large company, you need to be proactive in networking and gaining exposure into areas that you are interested in. You must own your development and speak up to land opportunities. I will say that it can be difficult to get promoted without a business need/due to other internal shifts."

"Since this company is massive the way you're treated totally depends on which department you're in. There are 7k people that work at corporate. My first role at Home Depot was a ton of long hours and hard work, but my entire team was a dream to work with. When I moved to marketing things took a turn for the worst. I was repeatedly verbally abused by a coworker and then gaslit by my boss when I told her about it. I was informed that one of my new "goals" for the year would be to develop a thicker skin. "
