"Company has a good % of women working here. Company purports focus on flex schedule and work/life balance. However what they don't say is 'balance' means 75% work, 25% life. Culture is not good, poor morale, no raises/bonuses beyond bare minimum. Broken performance review system that forces high performers into poor ratings to meet skew."

"There are some who are tagged as "high potential" and usually those are women and/or diversity employees. It seems many of these are given opportunities because of this tagging, and, once tagged, there's no process to un-tag them, even if they don't live up to that "high potential". On the one hand, it's great for women and diversity candidates, on the other hand, we may be ignoring other parts of the population."

"The plus is that many jobs allow you to work from home. But you pay a price- you are expected to be available 24/7"

"For consultants and higher levels, travel is expected. I, being an Executive Assistant, works well because I am a virtual admin. I work from home and can support Executives all over NA."

"I've been with IBM for 14 years and have had a pretty good experience, for the most part. I do feel women and men are treated equal; however, because of the role I was in there is a lot of travel required. This makes it difficult to have a family. The good thing, is that IBM is so big and there are other opportunities available with less travel, you just have to be proactive about finding those opportunities. Most of the women I work with, either have no children or their children are older, you don't see a lot of women with young children in my area. I think the travel makes it too difficult."
