I don't see any gender difference in my area of work. In fact in higher positions I see positive discrimination towards women

i joined after promise of h1b transfer. in past 2 years, my hi1B is ignored with false promise. at end when they clarified that hi1b request will not be raised, they crested PIP(didnt clarified all of its rules and regulations). i was award winner and here they put me in PIP> after complete 1 year at ATT they did so, so taht my performance award and increment could be stopped. there is 101% client satisfaction. all this put me in deep depression. i have lost my confidence to survive. I am not negative but what IBM did with me was all unethical! they recruited only with hi1b visa transfer and after 2.5 years i m struggling to survive.no one bothers wht is my skill set where i shd put in which project. IBM women managers are far more dangerous, possibly they are also having job insecurity only!

  • Recommend to Women?

Maybe. my own career is at worst stage since the time i joined. i joined with lot many hopes. and my career graph is deteriorated at lowest position, suffering with demotivate, inferiority , insecurity of job.

If they just need to be on the pay that is given during hiring time, They have to survive with the same pay though it is 5 years, or 6 years no matter what how man years they would stay. One can join IBM if they stick to this rule blindly in their mind.

Flexible in the way of time adjustments but nothing more. Again this flexibility if an employee uses, it hits his/her hike and promotions.

  • Took Maternity Leave Here? (Weeks)

I have been working here since of no family support and In order to take this flexibility of LOA post maternity.

Firstly, There should be someone to listen to employee's views and thoughts. There is no room for it. Even HR's and none is helping an employee to express about themselves and their needs and goals. Surveys are there but they are just for the name sake. I could feel there is lot of Employee Dissatisfaction but none cares or bother about it. I took it forward to many channels but still I am helpless and left alone.

  • Recommend to Women?

Maybe. For a women who would be in need of both work life and personal life balance sometimes (even not most of the times, since it would depend on project) and could compromise with less pay and no hikes or promotion then this company could be preferred.
