"Don't be shy to ask for what you deserve. If you encounter someone who doesn't seem supportive of inclusion and diversity, there are plenty of pockets of organizations that embrace inclusion and diversity."

"I would tell them that in my short time at the company, I have seen absolutely no difference between the treatment of women vs. men. Women are actually celebrated for their alternate perspectives and are reflectively valued as well. J&J hosts a spectacular environment for women, stemming from benefits to culture to internal opportunities; I couldn't ask for anything more."

"This is a very diverse company which is working to become ever more inclusive and stay true to the J&J Credo. Some functions have achieved significant diversity and gender parity but others, especially in technical and research fields are still difficult for women to achieve full upward momentum to leadership. Fantastic employee resource groups have been formed to focus on broadening diversity and inclusion, but managers vary widely in their knowledge and willingness to support career growth outside of posted openings. If you are a strong networker and continually work to find opportunities and foster relationships on your own, you can chart an unlimited path."
