"Be very careful about which partner becomes your primary source of work. He or she can make or break your time at the firm. For the most part, most partners are great, but my primary partner can make life particularly onerous. "

"good company that is somewhat flexible (for a law firm) in terms of hours, but terrible leave policy for staff. "paid" leave is only paid partially. you have to reimburse firm for health insurance premiums for most of your leave."

"Build solid relationships with your fellow female colleagues and the more senior associates and partners in your office, having those relationships is critical not only for moral support and your sanity but also imperative to give you advice on how to navigate your career and find a place for you within the firm that will work for you"
