"The company continues to evolve for the times and is and always has been cognizant of the need for more women, respect, and diversity during my career. That methodologies and strategies change to meet changing expectations. There is flexibility to help you integrate work and life's needs. "

"I am unsure of this amount, but unpaid leave is available for females to match FSLA expectations for female and there is flexibility to negotiate with leads for more if necessary. Male parental units also have a smaller amount of guaranteed leave, unpaid, with flexibility for more. I am not up to speed for the other gender designations, but know that these also exist."

"First, build relationships and do not burn bridges if you want to reach the senior most ranks. As big as the company is, the top senior leadership group is actually small. And although performance is critical always, having great relationships are just as important. Second, build mentoring relationships, and don't limit your mentors to people who look like you. There are many great people in this company who want to be mentors and allies - you can find somebody if you look for them. Lastly, as an aerospace and defense business, this company is still somewhat male-dominated, but SERIOUSLY making progress. I wouldn't still be here if I didn't see evidence of that."

"Culture varies between departments and sections. Some groups/leaders are more flexible than others, and some groups/leaders are more supportive of female engineers. Find other women in and out of your department to relate to. Find mentors, men or women, who will advocate for you to their peers."
