"The change in HR leadership has created the opportunity for a paid leave policy in 2017; I took advantage of it and also paired it with the paid sabbatical (4 weeks) program after 5 years of service. Four months off 'paid' was a game changer for my pregnancy."

6 Weeks Paid | 6 Weeks Unpaid
"First payment is your 6 week disability pay (you should elect 66% in advance of a pregnancy to be eligible for this benefit), 1/3 of this day comes from your sick, vacation pay. Then at 6 weeks (or 8 for c-section) through 12, that is fully paid at normal salary. So its paid, but you pay yourself first."

"I say that promotions are few and far between for both men and women. Salary increases are rare as well. Negotiate a strong starting salary because other than minimal annual raises that don't cover cost of living, you won't get pay increases."

"Working mothers get very little support here. If you have kids, you are going to need a very flexible, very reliable child-care plan. For example, the office never closes when the local schools close. And telecommuting is not an option. And management does not announce whether the office is open until 4:00 am the day of, making it impossible to arrange back-up child care."
