"I've been able to work at a face pace with determination and persistence for the last 4 years but I don't feel like I'm thriving or moving up. I like what I am learning along the way and I am getting critical exposure to new technologies at an enterprise level. I get paid very well to make sure high quality work is done well and provides business value . The downside is that there isn't clear training or support. The work life balance is very little and they often pressure people to not take vacations but do not mind if employees work odd or over time hours. It often is even expected to work during vacations and not be compensated for the extra hours worked. There is very little open discussion and get use to being talked over or "tested" constantly during technical meetings unless you hold a Master's degree or a senior post most teams often over look female contributions or tenured work experiences. I don't rock the boat so I know how to fit in and keep working . Again , I get paid very well to make sure high quality work is done well. This work environment is not for everyone takes a stiff upper lip at times. There is hope though, if Sysco increases employee diversity and experiences I think they would open up. The Sysco work culture would become more open to hear more voices and a lot more innovation would happen. This would make Sysco a happier place to work."
