"Some lines of business have women in leadership positions, but overall it seems the top positions are mostly held by white men (which is similar to most large banks). In many ways Wells Fargo is rooted strongly in a traditional hierarchical banking culture, though they are making significant Corporate-level investments in Diversity, Equity, & Inclusion which will benefit women and people of color."

"The huge burden of what woman are going through today and the reality our days are getting longer at work and each day is a feeling like more of the same. Handling the biz piece of life + the "invisible work" is creating pressure without flexibility. I report up to a white male, who reports to a white male and so on an so forth. We have little diversity or awareness to fix and lift up woman. The deck appears stacked against us in many places, for example: we promoted 10 people in my business to SVP and only one was a female. Women are negotiating for raises and promotions just as often as men, but are less likely to see a positive outcome at Wells. Our work is going unnoticed. "

"The organization shared its own study, revealing a gender pay disparity. Granted, it was a small gap, particularly compared with the national norm and the rest of the financial industry, but it was a gap nonetheless. I've seen the company do nothing to address what it confirmed itself, and I am aware I am paid less than male colleagues on my team. Pay was commensurate with the job I was initially hired to do. However, the role has been added to significantly over time, with no corresponding pay increase and a rigid, annual raise system that does not even map to inflation. Outside of unequal pay, recent changes in leadership are particularly disheartening. While the company proclaims good percentages with regard to number of women working there and women in leadership roles, a slew of recent executive hires all fall within the older white male demographic.
