What You'll Be Doing:
Applying your deep optics and photonics engineeringexpertiseto provide high-level technical support for Ansys Lumerical customers and channel partners.
Owning customer problems, proactively engaging with key accounts, and delivering comprehensive solutions throughout the sales opportunity lifecycle.
Conducting introductory, intermediate, and advanced training sessions for customers, and scoping/delivering professional services projects.
Gathering customer requirements and market trends to inform improvements to Ansys software; collaborating with product development teams to translate feedback into new features.
Testing new software releases on real-world industrial problems and providing feedback to enhance product performance and usability.
Participating in internal initiatives to share knowledge,establishbest practices, and develop simulation solutions and FAQs for the knowledge base.

What You'll Need:
PhD/ Master's in Silicon Photonics/ PIC/ Optoelectronics
Professional experience in a relevant engineering domain (5 years with a BS, 3 years with an MS, or a PhD).
Solid knowledge of optical and photonics theory, with practical application in simulation environments.
experience in PIC design, semiconductor processes, or photonics simulations (e.g., Lumerical/ FDTD)
Familiarity with Ansys Lumerical or other commercial optical/photonics simulation tools.
Strong problem-solving skills, capable of simplifying and addressing complex engineering challenges.
Proficiency in English and at least one local language (Singapore or Malaysia).
Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% of the time.

domain-specific experience such as Silicon Photonics, Co-packaged Optics, CMOS Image Sensors, or Displays
Include exposure to numerical methods (FDTD, RCWA, BPM, FEM, PIC solvers, etc.)
Add programming/scripting skills ( Python, MATLAB, or similar)
Include familiarity with EDA/EPDA workflows , compact modeling,or semiconductor processes (MPW runs)
Explicitly mention pre-sales activities (demos, benchmarking, technical evaluations) not only technical support.
Add exposure to Multiphysics simulations (Lumerical + HFSS + Others)
Optionally highlight relevant industries like semiconductors and Foundries.
