Duties & Responsibilities
This is a sensitive position that will require a negative urine drug screen and a cleared caregiver's criminal background check. This position may have evening and weekend responsibilities.
Participate in school and college activities such as, but not limited to, developing new curriculum or student recruitment.
Collaborate with faculty and staff from other schools/departments to promote communication, coordinate schedules, and support student success.
Collaborate with high schools, universities, business and industry or external agencies as appropriate, and assist with program advisory committees as requested.
Support collegiality by actively participating in the professional development of new and veteran faculty (for example, mentoring, peer observations).
Serve on department, school, and college committees and task teams.
Participate in and assist with student activities and clubs.
Participate in other activities as appropriate and approved by the dean.
Performs other job related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Conferred bachelor's degree or higher and,
Medical or allied health education or training, and
At least two (2) years of experience related to the profession of medical assisting, and
Current medical assisting credential in good standing from one of the following: RMA (AMT), CMA (AAMA), NCMA (NCCT), CCMA (NHA), or CMAC (AMCA). Include your certification number, name of certifying agency and expiration date on your resume.
Preferences
Previous or current position in a leadership role.
Documented education in instructional methodology.
Previous or current experience teaching in post-secondary education.
Previous or current experience teaching online, hybrid, or web-enhanced courses
