Each Task Force is typically chaired by a Plant Manager, with members drawn from Production, Process, Maintenance, Engineering, and other senior technical roles across CRH plants. GTS appoints a Task Force Leader for each topic to support regional performance and ensure global knowledge flow.
The Task Force Leader plays a critical role in guiding regional groups toward operational excellence, coordinating knowledge transfer, and facilitating the adoption of best practices. This includes attending cluster Task Force meetings, supporting roadmap development, ensuring alignment with CRH's technical priorities, and chairing global sessions for cross ‑ regional learning.
The Task Force Leader:
Supports plants in delivering optimal operational performance, ensuring consistent clinker and cement quality.
Ensures CRH sites are aware of and positioned to adopt world ‑ class developments and innovations in cement manufacturing.
Challenges plants constructively on roadmap design, target setting, and benchmarking to unlock continuous improvement.

Job Responsibilities
Lead the CRH Task Force portfolio to:
Achieve world ‑ class performance across CRH cement plants.
Promote and facilitate global knowledge sharing.
Ensure alignment with CRH policies and technical standards.
Collaborate with Task Force Chairs to provide technical guidance and facilitate roadmap implementation.
Advise, support, and challenge plant teams constructively.
Participate in GTS and Group ‑ level technical initiatives.
Develop and implement expert support solutions for performance improvement.
Introduce and embed measurement systems to monitor best ‑ practice adoption.
Report on roadmap development, execution, and results.
Ensure effective collaboration with key stakeholders, including GTS leadership, plant leaders, and technical specialists.
Job Requirements
Cement Process Mastery: Demonstrates expert knowledge of cement production processes, equipment, raw materials, and quality requirements.
Best Practice Knowledge: Maintains up ‑ to ‑ date awareness of global best practices and emerging developments in the cement and concrete sectors.
Industry Insight: Understands current and future challenges facing the cement industry, including operational, technological, and environmental pressures.
Senior Advisory Capability: Provides credible, data ‑ driven guidance to senior plant and functional leaders.
Directs Work - Providing direction, delegating, and removing obstacles to get work done.
Situational Adaptability - Adapting approach and demeanor in real time to match the shifting demands of different situations.
Communicates Effectively - Developing and delivering multi-mode communications that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different audiences.
Drives Engagement - Creating a climate where people are motivated to do their best to help the organization achieve its objectives.
Ideally: Degree in Engineering (Chemical, Process, Mechanical) or Chemistry.
Minimum 10 years' experience in the cement industry.
Proven expertise in cement manufacturing and familiarity with global best practices.
Experience influencing senior plant leaders and cross ‑ functional technical teams.
Experience working across different cultural environments (advantageous).
Prior responsibility for operational improvement, technical troubleshooting, or performance optimization.
Willingness to travel internationally.

Base Salary - $168,200 - $180,000 per year
