Job Summary
The Quality Control Lead will lead a team of quality control technicians and inspectors. This is a hands-on role and you will be responsible for the day-to-day duties and tasks of the quality control department. You will be a Point of Contact working with outside agencies, coordinating information off-site and once they arrive on-site.
Job Responsibilities
Evaluates samples of incoming materials
Assists with and performs pre and post pour measurement checks on precast parts
Inspects cages, forms and parts while in process and finished stages
Uses cylinder break machine to test samples
Distributes reports and tests as necessary
Uses hand measurements tools to include calipers, dial gauges, etc.
Performs quality control checks
Pull samples from floor
Ensure Quality Control Techs and Inspectors are following standards and escalating when necessary to supervisor/manager.
Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed
Occasional travel to our Bellingham site
Job Requirements
Absolute sense of Safety Mindedness and Integrity in the workplace
High School diploma or GED or equivalent Vocational Training/Certification, other related experience or combination thereof
At least 1 year of related experience, preferred
Completed Quality Control training including: NPCA PQS1, ACI CFTT grade 1 and ACI CSTT
Ability to read and understand Quality Control manuals and training packages well enough to explain them to outside agencies and peers when required
Must communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with superiors, colleagues, and individuals inside and outside the company
Previous experience scheduling and coordinating with outside agencies to ensure Quality Control transparency and related expectations are being met
Interest in adding to skillsets and growing withing the company
Computer literate; experienced with Microsoft Office software, Teams, Krinkle, Command Batch and SmartSheet
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. by yourself or ask for a team lift up to 80 lbs. or Confidence to stop the task and find the right lifting device for the move needed
Compensation
The hourly pay rate is $34 - $39/hr.
