job, it's an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. As an intern, you will be a valued member of the team, contributing to real projects and making a measurable impact. This role reports to the Regional Quality Director.
In this role, you will support material handling, sample preparation, and testing of raw materials and finished products in accordance with ASTM standards. You'll work closely with operations to ensure consistent product quality and collaborate with cross-functional teams to support continuous improvement and innovation across the organization.
Job Location
This is an onsite position located in Frederickson, WA.
Job Responsibilities
Learn hardscapes manufacturing processes and associated quality assurance/quality control procedures
Assist in producing high-quality products by supporting daily manufacturing operations
Identify and analyze operational challenges and recommend process improvements to our leadership
Conduct routine testing of raw materials and finished products, calculation of results, and preparation of tests reports
Support troubleshooting efforts and participate in root cause analyses to correct nonconformances as necessary
Learn and apply all relevant ASTM standards to ensure all products meet these standards
Maintenance and housekeeping of assigned areas and equipment
Collaborate with team members and industry experts on quality and operational initiatives
Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed
Job Requirements
The desire to be challenged with real-world projects
Student pursuing a bachelor's degree in mechanical, industrial, or architectural engineering, supply-chain management, business administration, manufacturing, accounting, marketing or related field
Solid, demonstrated work ethic
Excellent communication skills
Ability to contribute and work well on a team or independently
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite products
Ability to develop and foster effective professional relationships internally and externally
Good interpersonal, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
Compensation
The hourly pay rate is $20-$25/hr
