stallation (water, sewer, storm drains) by cutting/fitting pipes, rigging materials, assisting pipelayers with alignment and joining, and performing general manual labor like shoveling, signaling equipment, and maintaining safety, requiring strength, stamina, and teamwork to support the crew.
Responsibilities:
Cutting, beveling, marking, and assembling pipe sections.
Trenching, shoring, clearing materials, and preparing the area for laying pipe.
Working closely with pipelayers and equipment operators, aligning pipe, checking grades, and hooking up pumps.
Identify all utilities and underground lines before beginning excavation.
Shovel earth/dirt to prepare ground trenches for pipes.
Attach trench box to chains/guide wires so it can be lowered or lifted by the equipment operator.
Perform pipe cutting and connections with the required tools and bonding agents.
Take action to avoid potential hazards or obstructions, f ollowing safety protocols, wearing PPE
Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed

Strong communication with supervisors, project managers, and crew.
Ensuring correct placement, alignment, and adherence to job specifications.
Requires the following motions: bending, hammering, stooping, pushing, pulling, squatting, and throwing. Walking and standing occupy most of the workday.

Regularly exposed to traffic hazards and moving mechanical parts; outside weather conditions and vibration. The employee is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions.
The noise level in the work environment is usually loud; however, PPE will be provided by our team to keep you safe. Steel-toed boots are mandatory.
