Job Summary
Performs a wide range of duties in an industrial manufacturing environment. Ensuring the Manual Welding Department runs the jobs in the manner needed to meet our customer demands.
Job Responsibilities
Schedule and Coordinate jobs accordingly while communicating with Production Supervisor
Ensure that welders adhere to Inwesco Policies and Procedures while maintaining a level of safety and quality
Track work order progress daily and input data needed into program
Coordinate with material handler to make sure that all components needed are there and accounted for
Maintain open communication with Production Supervisor regarding any production issues that would impact workflow, material, personnel and anything related to the department
Complete beginning of shift huddles to go over safety information, announcements, any necessary information from beginning shift meeting and assign tasks to shift personnel
Complete beginning of shift/end of shift meetings with prior shift/next shift to receive and pass on any critical production/quality/machine information
Report to maintenance and safety coordinator any safety hazards or equipment malfunctions/required maintenance
Ensure that work effort is being applied effectively and that company quality standards and production capacities for the shift are met
Enforce Safety rules and ensure work areas are maintained in a clean and orderly condition
Encourages and leads maximum shift production flow, while ensuring safety and quality
Complete production reports at the end of the shift, including work performed by department, back orders, and hot item
Other duties may be assigned as needed
Job Requirements
Must have experience in steel fabrication, at least 2-3 year is preferred
High school diploma/equivalent
Ability to lead by example and build effective teams
Able to operate under pressure, meet strict deadlines, effectively prioritize workload and capacity to multi-task
Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal, organizational and time management skills
Ability to lift up to 40 lbs.
Able to multitask
Compensation
The hourly pay rate is $27/hr.
