Apply measurement science principles to ensure accuracy and reliability of results.
Participate in measurement uncertainty studies and calibration processes.

Supplier Quality & Development
Participate in supplier evaluation, selection, and sourcing processes.
Support supplier corrective actions using root cause analysis, fault tree analysis, and permanent corrective actions.
Ensure supplier compliance with quality standards, including PPAP and Cummins Supplier Handbook.
Review supplier quality readiness for new product introductions and existing products.
Drive supplier continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects and enhance process capability.
Quality Process Management
Apply quality tools such as APQP, FMEA, PPAP, SPC, MSA, and capability studies.
Conduct process audits and ensure adherence to quality management systems.
Support warranty reduction initiatives (PPM, BIS, AIS) and proactive quality improvements.
Stakeholder Collaboration
Assist customers and stakeholders in understanding product specifications and measurement data.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and suppliers on quality improvement initiatives.
Conduct regular reviews with internal and external stakeholders for both proactive and reactive quality actions.
Skills & Competencies
Strong understanding of Measurement Science (Metrology) across dimensional, mechanical, electrical, and related domains.
Proficiency in Quality Management Systems (e.g., IATF 16949 / VDA standards).
Expertise in quality tools: APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, Control Plans.
Strong analytical and statistical problem-solving skills.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings, GD&T, and inspection reports.
Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
Customer-focused mindset with strong collaboration abilities.
Conflict management and decision-making capabilities.
Proficiency in MS Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis and reporting.
Experience
Significant relevant work experience in quality engineering, inspection, or supplier quality.
8-10 years of hands-on experience in new product development and supplier quality (preferred for internal candidates).
Experience with heat transfer components such as radiators, charge air coolers, oil coolers, and heat exchangers is an advantage.
Hands-on experience in manufacturing processes such as brazing, welding, soldering, and powder coating.
Experience in CMM inspection, datum logic, and GD&T interpretation preferred.
Additional Requirements
Willingness to travel frequently to supplier and Cummins sites.
Ability to work from plant or operational centers for effective collaboration.
Engage in face-to-face interactions with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
