The Staff Red Team and Penetration Testing Engineer exists to regularly assess systems, applications, and configurations for security issues. The candidate will drive risk reduction for the organization by collaborating with teams, stakeholders, and decision makers to implement appropriate changes to reduce risks associated with findings. This person must be capable of documenting findings, actions to be taken for mitigation, communicating these items, and driving strategy to further operationalize the Red Team program.
Here's a closer look at this key role:
Penetration Testing Execution: Conduct comprehensive penetration tests on various digital infrastructures, including Kubernetes clusters and AWS environments, identify vulnerabilities, and suggest remedial actions.
Vulnerability Assessment: Regularly assess systems, including cloud and containerized environments, to identify vulnerabilities and security issues, documenting risks and actions taken to mitigate such risks.
Collaboration and Reporting: Work closely with cybersecurity teams to develop strategies for improving security posture, and prepare detailed reports outlining the findings and recommendations from penetration tests.
Continuous Learning: Stay updated with the latest cybersecurity threats and trends, including advancements in cloud and container security, to enhance testing methodologies and security solutions.
Conduct network, web, mobile application penetration testing, code reviews, social engineering, red team engagements, and physical security assessments
Conduct security assessments on a wide variety of technologies and implementations
Simulate sophisticated cyberattacks worldwide
Advise teams on technical security or compliance activities that would reduce risk
Manage priorities and tasks to achieve delivery and utilization targets
Operate with professionalism both internally and with clients
Ensure quality products and services are delivered on time
Collaborate with project managers, quality management, sales and other delivery team members to drive customer satisfaction and meet project deliverables
