Position summary

Lead & Develop Employees: Manage staff according to Company policies; provide training, cross-training, and continuing education; participate in hiring decisions; conduct performance reviews; and maintain attendance, disciplinary, vacation, accident, and quality records.

Promote Safety & Investigate Incidents: Ensure technicians follow all safety procedures and conduct timely, thorough accident investigations for assigned employees.

Manage Job Documentation: Receive and review job folders, late releases, and MRR dispositions; assign work to ensure requirements are met.

Maintain Workplace Organization: Ensure cleanliness and orderliness of assigned production areas; request special maintenance when required; enforce Tool Control procedures and ensure tools are secured at shift end.

Drive Quality Excellence: Ensure high standards of assembly and testing quality while fostering a culture of continuous quality improvement.

Support Manufacturing Leadership: Assist the Manufacturing Manager with departmental needs, projects, and operational challenges.

Contribute to Continuous Improvement: Provide recommendations to improve company policies, procedures, and production practices.

Represent the Division Professionally: Further the goals and professional image of SWGD through effective interaction with customers, vendors, and internal departments.

Champion Policies & Compliance: Maintain working knowledge of MEPPI's Quality, Safety, and Environmental policies and clearly communicate their impact on daily operations.

What You Bring

Education & Experience:

  • Associate's degree in a technical or business field

  • Minimum of 2 years of prior supervisory experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Technical & Leadership Expertise:

  • Detailed knowledge of assembly and testing techniques, processes, and methods

  • Developed technical understanding of mechanical, electrical, and electronic applications

Skills & Attributes:

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with emphasis on interpersonal and group presentation abilities

  • Proven ability to lead teams, manage performance, and promote positive employee relations

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
