ot only part of history, they're making history.Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Electromechanical Engineering Technician to work at government customer site in Stafford, Virginia. The successful candidate will work on an Operations and Maintenance (O&M) program providing engineering and maintenance on large antenna platforms and associated equipment in the generation of RF signals and communications systems. The equipment includes antennas, antenna gear boxes/motors, motor controllers/servo amplifiers, synchros, encoders, RF switches, and feeds. In addition, the candidate must be knowledgeable with different types of coaxial transmission lines and waveguides, Traveling Wave Tube (TWT) and Solid State amplifiers, and related electronic equipment. He or she will be responsible for analyzing equipment problems, isolating causes and taking proper action to resolve problems. Maybe required to troubleshoot communication system outages, conduct/coordinate repair of communication equipment including hubs, switches, routers, connectors and cables. The candidate may also be required to generate and maintain equipment records, track failure trends and recommending corrective actions and procedures. The candidate will perform preventive maintenance and integrate approved equipment modifications into the existing baseline.
Basic Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications:
Conducted routine inspections and maintenance on satellite terminals, ground stations, and antennas
Experience troubleshooting and improving complex electrical systems
Military Electronic technician [ ET ] Performing preventative and corrective maintenance or similar Civilian experience
Experience with complex technical issues in the Radio System
Experience resolving technical issues in various electrical engineering projects
Primary Level Salary Range: $91,800.00 - $137,600.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
