Trading & Supply global transformation, specifically the implementation of our Energy Trade & Risk Management (ETRM) solution on Azure to create a scalable, secure, and strategic landscape that enables the transformation of Shell's Trading capabilities. This opportunity sits at the heart of the Trading & Supply business transformation, supporting the Global Products organisation as we establish Endur as the global backbone ETRM platform. Serve as the primary contact for architectural aspects of IT projects.
Integrate business process, data, application, technical, and information security dimensions into cohesive IT solutions.
Ensure solution architectures are documented using standard templates and tooling complying with Shell's architectural standards.
Guide detailed designers and business analysts during the design phase.
Review and formally approve detailed solution designs.
Support Lead Architect and participate in Architecture Review Board sessions as required**.**
Reference Model Stewardship
Actively contribute to the documentation, enhancement, and maintenance of Reference Models in BizzDesign or any other standard tooling.
Elevate project deliverables to conceptual and logical architecture levels.
Technology Foresight
Monitor emerging IT technologies and apply this insight to design future-ready solutions for Shell.
Standards Alignment
Stay informed of developments in Shell's IT standards and services, ensuring they are incorporated into solution designs.
Community Engagement

Be an active participant in the wider Tech Lead and engineering communities.
Problem Solving & Innovation:
Diagnose problems and implement innovative solutions fitting into the wider Shell Trading picture.
Manage dependencies, overcome obstacles, and maximize value against constraints, managing trade-offs or technical debt.
Technical Skills and Mastery:
5+ years in CI/CD delivery using Git/GitHub, VSTS/Azure DevOps, Terraform, Ansible.
Agile & Engineering Standards:
Practical agile experience in both start-up and enterprise environments.
Lead the engineering community to follow Shell Engineer Management standards, ensuring consistency and reuse.
Understand and deliver core engineering GPA objectives.
Create a collaborative environment for technical roles to drive clear decisions and consistency.
Documentation & Coordination:
Address Business Process, Data, Application, Technical, and Information Security aspects of IT Solutions, documenting in High-Level Design documents.
Coordinate and develop information with third parties (Data Architects, IRM, Support Operations teams, Business stakeholders), internal and external to Shell.
What we offer
The base salary range for this position is $201,000 - $301,000 per year. Individual pay will be based on various factors, such as relevant work experience, education, certifications, skill level, seniority, and internal equity.
For regular full-time or regular part-time employees of the Company (participating companies as listed in the Summary Plan Description), insurance coverage options include medical, dental, vision coverage, life Insurance, Business Travel Accident Insurance, and Occupational Accidental Death Benefit programs. Employees also participate in a company pension plan and a 401(k) plan. Paid leave includes up to 6 weeks of paid vacation time, up to 11 paid holidays, and parental leave offering 16 weeks of paid leave for birthing parents, and 8 weeks of paid leave for non-birthing parents.
Additionally, employees are eligible for short-term disability leave for up to 26 weeks at 100% or 50% of base pay as well as Long-Term Disability insurance. Shell also offers other compensation such financial reimbursement for adoption, wellness, education, and personal learning expenses, and some roles are eligible for discretionary long-term incentives. For interns, eligible benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage, life insurance, Business Travel Accident Insurance, and Occupational Accidental Death Benefit programs; participation in a 401(k) plan; and paid leave for up to 11 paid holidays.
