Responsibilities
Develop comprehensive test plans, strategies, and approaches for Bluetooth testing, covering Bluetooth Classic, BLE, Bluetooth mesh, and related protocols.
Design and execute detailed tests for Bluetooth profiles (e.g., A2DP, HFP, GATT, LE Audio etc), ensuring proper implementation and functionality in real-world scenarios.
Test and validate Bluetooth protocol stack implementations, including interoperability between different Bluetooth versions, chipsets, and operating systems.
Analyze and troubleshoot complex issues related to Bluetooth communication, signal interference, range, and performance.
Develop and maintain custom test scripts, automated test cases, and tools (using languages like Python, and Embedded C) for comprehensive Bluetooth functionality, performance, and stress testing.
Utilize specialized Bluetooth test tools and protocol analyzers (e.g., Ellisys, Teledyne LeCroy) to capture, decode, and analyze Bluetooth traffic.
Conduct performance testing to assess Bluetooth range, data throughput, connection stability, and battery consumption, particularly for Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) devices.
Test Bluetooth security features, including pairing protocols, encryption, and authentication, to identify vulnerabilities and ensure data protection.
