Working closely with Professional Learning leaders, Renaissance Consultants help educators apply learning to practices for lasting growth. Renaissance Consultants are key members of our Customer Education team and are responsible for facilitating top quality training experiences, building positive relationships, supporting educators in their implementation of Renaissance solutions, assessment and data practices, and contributing to the continuous development of Renaissance professional learning programs.
Availability Requirements
Renaissance Consultants are scheduled on an as-needed basis and are paid an hourly rate, with reimbursement for approved travel and related expenses. Consultants must be available to facilitate professional learning sessions for up to 40 hours per week and be willing to travel up to 75% during peak season (July-October). During the non-peak season (November-June), consultants must be available to facilitate professional learning for up to 20 hours per week. Travel is required for this role.
Note: This part‑time role requires consistent availability during scheduled training engagements, which may occur during standard school or business hours.
In this role, you will:
Learn multiple solutions during the tenure of employment with Renaissance to meet our clients' needs.
Customize and deliver on-site and/or virtual product training and professional learning that meets client needs and exceeds expectations.
Differentiate training on the spot when needed to ensure high engagement and meeting learning goals.
Engage in an internal cycle of reflection, feedback, and development (including observations, client evaluations, and coaching)
Prepare for training engagements by engaging with Renaissance team members, customizing training materials (within specific parameters), learning about the particular needs and goals of the client, etc.
Document and submit detailed training notes.
Present a professional image to customers.
Learn and follow Renaissance processes for preparing, delivering, and post work facilitation
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in education or related field
At least 5 years of professional experience facilitating/delivering professional development,
Prior experience in K-12 education
Experience with educational technology, familiarity with Renaissance products and solutions
Experience delivering training across various in-person and virtual modalities, including webinars
Deep understanding of engaging adult learning principles
Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and facilitation skills
Ability to learn and utilize new tools and technologies quickly
High level of attention to detail
Proven organizational skills
High level of collaboration with internal and cross functional teams
Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize appropriately.
Ability to work independently on tasks, projects, and learning sessions
Growth mindset and commitment to continuous improvement
Ability to travel and to arrange lodging and transportation.

Compensation
We offer compensation for delivering professional learning ($50/hr), preparing for sessions ($50/hr), internal meetings ($25/hr), and travel ($20/hr). All travel-related work expenses are paid in advance by contractors and reimbursed upon submission of reimbursement requests, within 2-3 weeks of submission.
Contract employment
This role is hired through a staffing agency rather than directly by Renaissance. Opportunities to facilitate professional learning are based on customer need, contractor performance, and contractor readiness.
