About the role: As a BI Engineer you will contribute to a variety of technical and operational areas by:  
  

-   Analyzing large, complex data sets to identify patterns and connections that provide insights to support client objectives as well as overall data strategy.

  
  

-   Write complex , optimized SQL queries to extract, manipulate, and analyze data from various databases.

  
  

-   Collaborate with stakeholders to understand data requirements and sophisticated use cases , translat e into data mining queries and deliver relevant solutions.

  
  

-   Communicate findings and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences.

  
  

-   Document data analysis processes and findings.

  
  
About You: You're a good fit for the role of Business Intelligence Engineer if you have:  
  

-   A bachelor's or master's degree in a data or quantitative field ( e.g. data analytics, data science, computer science, data engineering ).

  
  

-   3-5 years of experience working as a Data Scientist, Business Intelligence Analyst, Data Engineer, or equivalent role.

  
  

-   Love data, data exploration and discovering new data connections, trends and insights.

  
  

-   Advanced , hands-on proficiency in complex SQL for data querying and manipulation .

  
  

-   Knowledge of JavaScript, Python or other scripting tools.

  
  

-   Understanding of Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing concepts and technologies.

  
  

-   Be able to independently research issues and quickly learn new tools with little guidance.

Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The base compensation range varies across locations.
Eligible office location(s) for this role include one or more of the following: New York City, San Francisco, Los Angeles, and/or Irvine, CA; McLean, VA; Washington, DC. The base compensation range for the role in any of those locations is $102,400 - $190,200.
This role may also be eligible for an Annual Bonus based on a combination of enterprise and individual performance.
Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay is one part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs.
