    Position summary

    will serve as a strategic advisor and thought leader, shaping UKG's approach to state, city, and county governments. This role combines data analytics, financial acumen, and strategic insight to craft an outside - in vision that resonates with executive-level decision-makers and demonstrates how UKG solutions drive measurable outcomes.

    As part of the Go-To-Market team, you will support the customer lifecycle from demand generation through post-sale value realization, ensuring UKG's strategy aligns with the unique needs of public sector organizations.

    This role will help UKG elevate how we engage public-sector leaders moving conversations beyond individual products and toward a broader workforce operating platform strategy. You will help state and local governments understand how HCM, payroll, scheduling, timekeeping, workforce management, analytics, and employee experience come together to address their most pressing operational, financial, compliance, and service-delivery challenges.

    Responsibilities:

    • Strategy Development: Tailor UKG's overall strategy and solution portfolio to address the priorities of state, city, and county governments, aligning with their strategic plans and operational goals. You will help teams compete more effectively against ERP providers and systems integrators by positioning UKG as a strategic workforce platform partner, not a point-solution vendor.

    • Data-Driven Insights: Leverage analytics and financial modeling to demonstrate how UKG solutions deliver measurable value, improve compliance, and optimize workforce performance. Trend Analysis: Identify the macroeconomic and policy trends impacting public sector governments and map them to the challenges UKG solves for its customers and the value it delivers

    • Executive Engagement: Build trusted relationships with senior government leaders, elected officials, and key stakeholders to influence strategic decisions and foster advocacy for UKG solutions.

    • Collaboration: Partner with Sales, Value Engineering, Product, and Marketing to shape full-suite public-sector value narratives that connect UKG's Workforce Operating Platform to executive priorities, modernization agendas, and measurable outcomes to ensure alignment and successful execution of the industry strategy.

    • Influence & Thought Leadership: Represent UKG as an industry expert through speaking engagements, media interviews, association participation, and published content. Shape best practices and advocates for workforce modernization in government.

    • Innovation: Through your expertise and knowledge of the market increase the value of the UKG offering by tailoring our messaging to ensure it resonates with Public Sector customers' unique needs and take back insights gained from your interactions with the market to influence the product road map and ecosystem strategy.

    Basic Qualifications:

    • Minimum of 10 years of experience in senior roles within state, large city or county government with strong experience in operations or finance
    • Proven ability to interpret complex financial data and apply analytics to support strategic decision-making
    • Strong critical thinking skills and creativity to develop compelling strategies and messaging.
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to engage with diverse stakeholders, including C-level executives and elected officials.
    • Ability to influence policy discussions and represent UKG as a trusted advisor in industry forums.

    Preferred Qualifications:
    • Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Public Administration, Human Resources, or a related field
    • Understanding of Human Capital Management software and its applications in the Public Sector.

    The pay range for this position is $163,900.00 to $235,550.00. The actual base pay offered may vary depending on skills, experience, job-related knowledge and work location. In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible to participate in a performance-based bonus plan and to receive restricted stock unit awards as part of total compensation.
