Qualifications
Qualifications and desired skills:
Bachelor's degree in a science or engineering discipline and five years mass spectrometry or ion mobility hardware development experience or higher degree and two years relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Good problem solving skills
Excellent communication and decision-making skills
This role will also provide the opportunity to build your skills in the following areas:
Scientific/engineering programming
Mathematical modelling
Ion optical modelling
Use of advanced test equipment (e.g. oscilloscopes)
Data analysis
Vacuum technologies
Ionisation techniques
Any previous experience in these areas is desireable but not essential as long term mentoring will be provided.
