just remember, they like you otherwise they wouldn’t have hired you. They want you to succeed.

Best of luck to you, my friend

Stop, breathe (don't forget that part), and keep reminding yourself that you can do this. You were able to convince the company that you could, or they would never have hired you, so turn those arguments back at yourself and convince yourself.

Come into work every day with a plan for the day and a plan for the week. What needs to get done today? End of the week? Goals? At the month, be prepared to summarize your goals and achievements.

Don't worry, you can do the job!

In the meantime, make friends with the secretaries and guards. They will make your life easier.

Sit down with your new manager and give them information on how best to manage you. Let them know what motivates you, let them know what format you like to get direction in: email, text, call, etc. Be sure that aligns with them. Let them know how you take corrective action and how you like to get information in the moment when there is a course correction that is urgent. Then put a weekly 1-1 for each Monday to plan out the things you need to do either solo or with others. Determine urgency and timeline for each deliverable and own your results. Taking charge will give you personal power and will also set you on the course for success. I'll bet your manager is also impressed by your doing this. After 30, then 60, then 90 days do a formal longer check in to see if you are meeting their and your expectations. You can do this!
