At the risk of sounding like a complete jerk, are all recruiters from India? Is there a phone bank or something? I get an excessive amount of calls from them. they find me on job boards, send me an email, or call. I respond in kind, but nothing and I mean nothing comes from the submission.

I think when you sign up on sites such as Monster (is that still a thing) and Careerbuilder, your resumes are just blasted to overseas recruiting groups. Quite often, the jobs these recruiters reach out to me for are jobs that aren't even in the realm of what I do.

agreed. when I was seeking new job opportunities I made the mistake of creating a Monster account. I do believe this was the source of all the texts, emails and phone calls from these "recruiters". it was very frustrating.

I asked a similar question a couple months ago!

These recruiters are not talented professionals. If you ignore the names and accents you'll notice that none of their jobs really fit you (I get some WEIRD ones, like a 3 month contract job the next state over). Don't reply unless it's a reputable recruiter like Robert Half, or an HR representative from an actual employer.

I'm in TN and get calls for Nebraska, etc start immediate in roles like security guard, insurance sales, etc.
    I block these people. Phising.

Some say with my advanced experience and education, $15 h is COMPLETELY achievable.

When I was last looking for a job, I had a similar experience, as most of them left unintelligible voicemails - too soft, too strong of a native accent from their locality. A colleague of mine had a reasonable approach: If he couldn't understand the recruiter, neither could the company that they were recruiting for, so he never followed up on any of those calls.

Anyone outside your country is likely phishing for resumes to fill a quota. Ignore and/or block.
