I graduated with a degree in engineering in 2023 and spent six months actively searching for jobs, attending various hiring tests, and interviews. Afterward, I completed a six-month certification course as a cybersecurity analyst. Now, I’m back to job searching, and as we all know, it can be challenging to land a job as a fresher. I’m also eager to continue enhancing my knowledge in cybersecurity through more relevant certifications. However, finding a job is critical for me right now due to financial pressures, and my parents are urging me to focus on getting employed rather than spending more time studying.

The financial barrier is holding me back from pursuing further studies, which makes the job search even more important. Could you provide any advice on how to overcome this situation? How can I improve my chances of landing a job as a fresher? What criteria should I keep in mind while applying? Additionally, how can I find scholarships for financially constrained candidates? I’d greatly appreciate any advice or experiences from professionals in the tech field. Thank you in advance!

Agree with your parents, get a job in a entry level role, grow from there and go to the universities website for available scholarships. You have no experience, get the job and then keep learning after that.

I have been applying for entry-level cybersecurity roles and internships at various companies over the past three months. However, I have received a response from only one company and all other are rejections. I tailored my resume to match the job descriptions before applying, but I am still not getting responses. What should I do?
