Hi, all! I do a lot of hiring -- working in state government, I have a lot of restrictions on what I must require. One of those is everyone's favorite thing -- a cover letter.
I know everyone hates cover letters, but I've been seeing so many people submit what are obviously "fill in the blank" form cover letters. This is such an automatic turn-off to me, but I'm wondering if anyone has found success with writing announcements or other doing other things to get better cover letters!?
Would appreciate any advice.
