Your email this morning listed Salesforce as one of your "Women Approved Companies" - I am curious as to what that means. I have been looking into Salesforce and was told by a Regional VP (male) in my field (sales) that they would not consider anyone with YEARS of strong SaaS sales history (I sell Saas products, but not my company's primary product line) AND that even a lateral move in management would not be considered. I would have to take a step or two down and then work my way back up!
I am curious as to what "Women Approved" means. The issues I shared don't specifically deal with gender (I hope!), but a company unable to see past a very specific metric despite a winning track record and that forces someone to take a demotion in order to have the privilege of working for them does not get my "approval rating".
I am curious to other's experience with/at Salesforce. Was what was shared with me only one person's opinion?
