So happy to be at a job that I enjoy fully!

At my last job, our manager would text in the group chat at least once a day and we would HAVE to reply or she would call us out personally within a few hours. If we still didn't reply, she would call or text us privately to make us respond. Most the time it only applied to specific people or just nonsense! But we ALL had to reply to it no matter what time or if it even applied to our section (for example, kids care employees had to reply to front desk 'reminders', even if they never worked front desk). Not to mention the one employee who would swear in the group chat at people if they didn't put things away right and called people names.

With my new job in the health insurance field, I've only been called/texted maybe twice after work in three months. It was a very brief question, I gave my answer, and then a thank you and the communication ended. No emails, nothing else. I go to work, I do my job (8-3 is the BEST hours I could have asked for), then I leave and I don't have to do anything work related the second I'm out the office.

It's SO nice they understand that I am a hard worker when I'm in the office but then I clock out and I'm hard at work on my own life. It's a glimpse at a work-life balance I didn't know I needed until now. I really do enjoy working there and I hope I can work there for a long time.

I could work 8-5 but I don't really want to unless it's necessary during the open enrollment period. I may be missing out on extra money but those two extra hours in the day is so worth it. I don't think I can ever work an 8/9-5 after this ever again.
